Overview of the Center

The Center for Entrepreneurship & Business Incubation (CEBI) was established at Modern College of Business & Science (MCBS) acknowledging the significance of Entrepreneurship & SMEs in diversifying the Omani economy. The center focusses on linking three key areas of Entrepreneurship and Business Incubation – Education, Leadership Development & Research. Furthermore, CEBI would be responsible for formulating strategies and collaborating with other public & private entities based in Oman and abroad to not only support potential and early-stage entrepreneurs, but also develop entrepreneurial mindset and competency among students and professionals in Oman.

To be a globally recognized institution for Entrepreneurship & Leadership Development in the region.

Mission

To nurture entrepreneurial competency and leadership capability by building a sustainable platform to develop and transform ideas to businesses; thereby adding value to the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Sultanate of Oman.

OBJECTIVES

To position the center as pivot for entrepreneurial activities within the academic and business circles.
To effectively deliver Entrepreneurship – Creativity & Innovation course, mandated by MoHE in MCBS and in client institution.
To establish strategic collaborations with industry and entrepreneurial community based not only in Oman but also abroad.
To conduct research and publish the findings regarding emerging needs, trends and services related to entrepreneurship.
To organize entrepreneurship/business/SME based workshops, exhibitions, bootcamps and forums benefitting students, professionals and business owners.
To build relationship with governmental and private entities in Oman where collaborative work can be established, best practices shared, new programs and initiatives developed.
