I am pleased to welcome you all to the Modern College of Business and Science. In line with its Vision and Mission, the Modern College of Business and Science is recognized for its quality education and excellent reputation in Oman and beyond the borders. Having achieved the full Institutions Accreditation status, from the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA) in 2019, MCBS has indeed proven to be one of the outstanding higher education providers in Oman.

I am extremely proud of the rich tradition of providing practical, extensive business and science education that our college has upheld since its founding. Our undergraduate and graduate programs prepare our students to become leaders with the ethical wisdom and intellectual competence necessary to meet the challenges of a time of critical transition in society.

In addition to our renowned associate and bachelor’s degrees, MCBS has seven master’s degrees: an MBA affiliated with Franklin University, USA, and a Master’s in Islamic Banking and Finance affiliated with Management Sciences University, Malaysia and master’s in public administration (MPA) quality assured by the University of Jordan. The MBA program is the first ever American graduate program to be offered in Oman while the Master’s in Islamic Banking and Finance is the first program of its kind in the sultanate. The fourth master’s degree is in IT, affiliated with the University of Missouri-St. Louis and delivered at MCBS, led by faculty with real world experience. The MPA which is taught in Arabic medium instruction is again the first in Oman and has specifically been introduced to raise and improve the governance and administration capabilities of our civil servants. I am pleased to share our latest and Oman’s first PhD program in Business Administration.

The college is not short of proud with our 5000 plus alumni in highly successful in organizations like OmanTel, Bank Muscat, Bank Dhofar, OQ, PDO, Omran, Ooredoo, Awasr, Oman Airport and many other reputable companies both locally and internationally. Located in the heart of Muscat, the college has especially strong ties with organizations in Oman and beyond. The abundance of talents and resources in the city has provided ample and unique learning and research opportunities for MCBS students and faculty.

It has been 27 years since MCBS inception, and we are proud to continue as one of the leading higher education institutions in Oman.
