Statistics focuses on the design of scientific studies and the analysis of data. The Bachelor of Science in Statistics program provides an opportunity for students to study courses that enhance their understanding of intermediate as well as advanced concepts in statistics.
Students will also gain the necessary knowledge and skills required for computer-assisted statistical data analysis. With the recent rise of Big Data, Data Science, and Analytics, the demand for this set of skills has increased substantially.
The curriculum provides students with a firm foundation in statistics, mathematics, and computing. Employment opportunities in statistics are growing rapidly, and there are very few people trained in data analysis to meet the increasing demand in the job market.
This program equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary to collect, analyze, interpret, and present data in various fields such as business, healthcare, social sciences, and research.
