Dr. Mahmoud Abouraia is a distinguished scholar and educator specializing in Economics and Finance. With a PhD in Economics from the University of Texas, he boasts over two decades of experience in academia, research, and leadership across institutions in the United States, Middle East, and Africa.

Currently a Professor at the Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) in Muscat, Oman, Dr. Abouraia is deeply involved in curriculum development, accreditation, and doctoral program support. His career highlights include serving as the Associate President for Academic & International Affairs at Misr University for Science and Technology, and holding the Dean position at the University of Modern Sciences in Dubai.

Dr. Abouraia has an extensive publication record, contributing to journals on topics ranging from financial markets to sustainable entrepreneurship. His research interests include financial economics, monetary policy, and macroeconomic modeling, with recent work exploring artificial intelligence applications in banking and finance.
