The Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) is committed to enhancing quality education through academic research and institutional initiatives. Faculty members have published 22 SCOPUS-indexed papers covering educational methodologies, inclusive learning, and sustainability in curricula. In March 2024, MCBS signed the SDG Accord, reinforcing its pledge to integrate sustainable development goals into education, research, and operations. This initiative supports lifelong learning, equitable access to education, and continuous academic excellence.

The Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) is developing a system to provide public access to lifelong learning resources. While the infrastructure is in place, the college is finalizing legal and logistical requirements to fully open these materials to the community. A key initiative, the Community Knowledge Bank, will offer open educational resources on sustainable development, economic growth, and more.

The Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) organizes public workshops, lectures, and seminars to promote lifelong learning. These events cover various personal and professional development topics, fostering shared learning experiences.

The Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) enhances education accessibility through its BTEC Diploma Program, providing students with hands-on, industry-relevant skills. Additionally, MCBS has established the Digital Private School (DPS), offering a well-rounded curriculum that fosters academic excellence and personal growth. With these initiatives, MCBS supports lifelong learning, covering education from kindergarten to PhD, ensuring opportunities for all ages.

The Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) tracks first-generation student enrollment, with 1.99% of students falling into this category, excluding BTEC degrees. A total of 375 first-generation students are enrolled, including 233 females, highlighting the college’s commitment to supporting these learners while ensuring gender inclusivity.

The Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) has launched Oman's first elective course on Sustainable Development, embedding key sustainability concepts into its curriculum. This course equips students with essential knowledge and competencies to address sustainability challenges and apply sustainable practices in their careers and daily lives.

The Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) has established the Sustainable Development Club, a student-led initiative with a strategic plan to promote sustainability on campus. The club organizes workshops, leads PRME student ambassador programs, and implements eco-friendly projects such as reducing plastic use. Through hands-on activities, students gain practical experience in sustainability, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
