Muscat, Oman – The Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) has introduced sensor-activated lighting in various departments to enhance energy conservation by ensuring electricity is used only when needed. Additionally, the college has replaced all campus lighting with energy-efficient LED lights, reducing overall consumption and promoting sustainable resource management.
Muscat, Oman – In collaboration with Green Universe Enterprise, MCBS is implementing a 20 KWp solar energy system to reduce its carbon footprint. Once operational, the project is expected to cut CO2 emissions by 25.6 metric tons annually, equivalent to planting 420 trees. The initiative also provides hands-on training for students in renewable energy technology, aligning with Oman’s sustainability goals and promoting climate-conscious education.
Muscat, Oman – As part of its Climate Education Program, MCBS offers a three-month "Renewable and Sustainable Workshop" series, equipping students with practical knowledge in renewable energy, sustainability policies, and market dynamics. The program prepares students for careers in the green economy while promoting climate awareness and action through education.
