Jennifer Y. Paquibut is an accomplished educator and healthcare professional currently serving as a Lecturer and College Nurse at the Modern College of Business & Science in Muscat, Oman, since January 2016. With a strong foundation in nursing, she began her career as a Staff Nurse and Unit Charge Nurse at Perpetual Succour Hospital in Cebu City, where she developed her clinical skills from 2001 to 2004.
Jennifer transitioned into academia as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Cebu-Banilad and the University of San Carlos, where she inspired future nurses through her teaching and mentorship. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cebu and a Master of Arts in Nursing, specializing in Medical-Surgical Nursing, from Southwestern University.
Her research interests are evident through her published studies, including “Exploring the Impact of Online Teaching on MCBS Students” and her award-winning presentations at international nursing conferences. Jennifer’s commitment to advancing nursing education and practice is further highlighted by her significant contributions to healthcare research, including her 2011 study on standard precautions among healthcare providers.

Activities
To enhance my professional development, I plan to actively engage in continuing education and training by participating in workshops, seminars, and online courses focused on nursing, health education, and wellness. I am particularly excited to begin my PhD in research development, which will deepen my knowledge and expertise in this field. Additionally, I am committed to conducting ongoing research studies that address the health challenges faced by students. Furthermore, I am collaborating with my colleagues on initiatives related to self-regulated learning, which fosters a comprehensive understanding of how students manage educational experiences. These efforts reflect my dedication to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice in my profession.
