Dr. Humaira Mujeeb

Dr. Humaira Mujeeb is a dedicated academic with a multi-disciplinary background in mental health and social sciences, specializing in psychology, sociology, and communication sciences. With extensive research experience and a deep commitment to advancing mental well-being, Dr. Mujeeb is passionate about fostering inclusive academic environments and contributing to innovative research and teaching excellence in higher education institutions.

Dr. Mujeeb holds a Ph.D. in Mental Health from Lancaster University, UK (2024). She also earned an M.Phil. in Communication Sciences with a focus on Behavior Change Communication from Karakoram International University, Pakistan, and an M.Sc. in Behavioral Sciences, specializing in Clinical and Counseling Psychology, from Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Additionally, she completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Sociology from the University of the Punjab, Pakistan.

Her academic journey has been complemented by over seven years of teaching experience as a Lecturer at the Department of Behavioral Sciences at Karakoram International University, followed by a Senior Lecturer and currently as an Assistant Professor at the Department of General Education at Modern College for Business and Sciences, Oman. Dr. Mujeeb’s teaching interests span various areas, including Perspectives in Psychology, Psychopathology, Social Psychology, Interpersonal Communication, Intercultural Communication, and Organizational Behavior. Her research interests are rooted in the intersections of psychology, anthropology, sociology, and communication sciences, with a particular focus on mental health. She aims to understand the links between mental health issues and socio-cultural as well as economic factors.

Driven by her passion for advancing mental health and well-being, Dr. Mujeeb is eager to engage in national and international research collaborations, working toward innovative solutions and contributing meaningfully to the mental health landscape in academic communities.
