Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS), one of the leading private higher education institutions in the country and Al Ansab Oasis signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop Business Center on campus. This would facilitate incubation of student start-ups along with supporting young entrepreneurs in the sultanate. The MoU was signed by Dr Khalfan Al Asmi, Acting Dean of MCBS and Mr Mohammed Al Busafi, CEO of Al Ansab Oasis. The initiative was supported by Oman Academy for SMEs.

The agreement is part of the college’s pursuit to engage with student entrepreneurs and early-stage start-up founders, by developing a comprehensive platform through providing infrastructural, legal and business mentoring support.

“This is first-of-its-kind among higher education institutions in Oman and we truly believe it will set a new trend for other institutions to follow suit.  We fully support this and would be keen to make this bigger” quipped Mr Otbah Al Harmali, Head – Oman Academy for SMEs.   Dr Hesham Magd, Associate Dean and Faculty Head – Business & Economics, MCBS;
