MCBS Meets with Senior SalamAir Executives

The Aviation Faculty of Modern College of Business & Science (MCBS) recently hosted Mr. David Bowden, Salam Air’s Chief Financial Officer, and Mr. Ali Al Battashi, Salam Air’s Financial Controller, to discuss collaborative approaches in which the capabilities of young Omanis can be harnessed to manage and operate the country’s ever-growing civil aviation sector well into the future.

Dr. Ahmed Al Naamany, Dean of MCBS; Dr. Ana Stakic, the MCBS Associate Dean overseeing the MCBS Center for Continuing Education & Professional Studies; Dr. Dan Wong, Deputy Head of Department for MCBS’ Transport and Logistics programs; and Dr. Nikola Stakic, MCBS’ Deputy Head of Department for their Finance and Accounting programs, discussed with the Salam Air executives how, together, aviation-related academic and vocational education offerings by MCBS, including the IATA Authorized Training Center and BTEC programs, can be made even more relevant in terms of further developing Oman’s civil aviation industry that is key in supporting the long-term and diversified growth of the national economy.
