MCBS Professor Presents at Major GCC Airport Terminal Development Conference

Dr. K.L. (Dan) Wong, PhD MITE, an Associate Professor and Deputy Head of School – Transport and Logistics at the Modern College of Business and Science in Muscat was selected to give a presentation titled: The Focus on Passenger Experience and Satisfaction: How Should Middle Eastern Airports Respond? at the 2nd Airports Arabia Conference 2017 organized by the Bahrain Society of Engineers on October 10-11, 2017 at the ART Rotana, Amwaj Islands in Bahrain.

Given the significant efforts currently underway towards improving airport terminals in the GCC region and elsewhere in the world, this conference focused on the significant challenges faced in airport passenger terminal design. The goal of the conference was to identify those challenges and develop ideas on how airport passenger terminal design processes could be improved to better facilitate ever increasing air passenger volumes. Selected speakers making presentations at this conference included senior level airport executives from the GCC, Ireland and India, as well as both other academics and consulting experts from as far away as Austria, Brazil, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Turkey.

Modern College of Business and Science was the 1st private institution of higher education in Oman, and it is the only institution in Oman that offers an undergraduate degree in both airport management and aviation management, as well as IATA training programs.
