Bachelor of Science in Applied Technologies

PROGRAM OVERVIEW 

Technology is advancing rapidly, with new developments replacing current projections. Bachelor of Science in Applied Technology degree prepares students for successful careers in the field of applied technologies. This program offers a balance between theory and practical and provides students the flexibility to customize additional course requirements based on individual interests and career needs. Along with the foundational skills in applied technology, it also provides students with the necessary applied technology skills to compete for jobs in today’s knowledge economy and prepare them as competent applied technology professionals. 

The program of Bachelor of Science in Applied Technologies offers students a broad technology base, designed for students who want to develop their careers through selected technology specializations: 

  • Internet of Things (IoT) 
  • Data Analytics 
  • Augmented and Virtual Reality 
  • Robotics and Intelligent systems 

  • Recognized General Education Diploma or its equivalent. 
  • English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL-iBT 65. 

Applicants who do not have official IELTS or TOEFL scores are required to take MCBS English Placement Test. Based on the scores obtained in this test, students are allowed to begin their credit courses or register in the foundation program. 

Duration: 4 years

Total credits: 120 

Program delivery: 12-15 credits per semester

Internship: Minimum 2 months 

Courses: apart from courses closely related to the Program subject matter, students take general education and business courses (56 credits): 

  • Communication skills: 12 credits 
  • Humanities: 9 credits 
  • Social Sciences: 9 credits 
  • Mathematics Requirements: 12 credits 
  • Science Requirements: 8 credits 
  • Free electives: 6 credits
