The mission of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science is to develop and offer the curriculum necessary to support the programs of the College in the areas of Mathematics and Computing as well as the promotion of scholarly and professional activities of the faculty.

Goals
The goals of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science are to:
- Prepare students for professional careers and further studies in computing disciplines and statistics.
- Support other department programs with program specific service courses in the fields of mathematics and computing
- Support the college and larger community with faculty and student research.
