The Mathematics and Computer Science department at MCBS is dedicated to excellence in teaching and service. It endeavours for excellence in teaching by offering curriculum that is current and responsive to industry needs.
The Department offers several undergraduate programs such as Bachelor of science in Computer Science, Information systems, Information Security, Applied Technologies, and Statistics, which provide students with high-quality education and prepare them for long and successful careers in industry and government. At the postgraduate level, the department offers master’s degree program in Information Technology with emphasis areas in Cyber Security, Networking, Project Management and ERP.
Graduates are prepared to fulfill the immediate needs of the computer industry, to adapt themselves to rapidly evolving industry needs, and further their education at the graduate level
Fourth industrial technologies such as artificial intelligence, internet of things (IOT), cybersecurity, mobile application development, robotics and data analytics are affecting every industry and there is great demand for computing professionals who are familiar with these technologies.
