The Department of Business and Economics is actively involved in providing high-quality teaching within the fields of Economics, Business, Aviation, Health and Safety at the Bachelor’s level. The main study programs in the department are: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting, Airport Management, Aviation Management, Commercial Law, and Health and Safety.
Goals
The Goals of the Department are as follows:
- To enroll, retain and develop a diverse student body composed of individuals who have high potential for academic success, and who represent the demographic characteristics of the Sultanate of Oman.
- To provide Baccalaureate and Associate degree programs that prepare students for productive careers, and provide them the intellectual, cultural and ethical foundations necessary to contribute to a changing global community.
- To develop and to enhance in the department a tradition of excellence in teaching and concern for students.
- To provide a supportive, safe, and secure academic environment that stimulates a sense of community.
- To prepare the students for successful careers by creating a physical and intellectual environment in which they have freedom to grow and are challenged to realize their full potential.
