Pre-requisites
It is the responsibility of all students to verify that they have met the prerequisites of a course before registering. Prerequisites are listed under “Course Descriptions” in the Description of Courses Bulletin.
Credit For Labs
In courses with laboratories, students may be required to spend more than the listed number of hours in the laboratory.
Student I.D.Cards
Students provide at least four (4) passport size pictures for the Student I.D. Card to the Admissions and Registration Office at the beginning of the semester.
YOU MUST CARRY YOUR ID ALL THE TIME.
Application Fee
All new students are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of R.O. 20/-
Adding Courses
To add a course, you must complete an add/drop form and have it signed by your advisor. Please observe the deadline for adding classes, which is normally two weeks after the beginning of the regular academic semester. (In summer sessions, the add deadline is one week after the first day of class.)
Dropping Classes
Students can drop a class within the normal “drop period”, which is usually four weeks after the first day of class of a regular academic semester. No advisor’s signature is required to drop a class. If a class is dropped during the normal drop period, no notation is made on the transcript.
Independent Study
Requests for independent study should be made directly to the Associate Dean.
Withdrawal from Classes/College
After the close of the drop period, students can request to withdraw from one class or from the college completely. Students who wish to withdraw from a class must secure the permission of the instructor and the Dean or the Registrar.
Student wishes to withdraw from all classes and from the college must complete a withdrawal form, which is available at the Office of Admission and Registration.
The schedule for reimbursement of student fees applies to all cases in which a student withdraws either from one class or from the college completely.
Request for Incomplete
The grade of “I” (incomplete) is given at the discretion of the course instructor and is awarded only in response to a student’s request that involves an emergency personal or family situation.
The grade of “I” is calculated as a grade of “F” until it changed by the instructor.
Academic regulations of the college specify that a student has one full semester following the semester in which the grade of “I” was given to remove the incomplete. In the event that a student is given the grade of “I” during a summer semester, he or she must remove the incomplete by the end of the following Fall semester.
Incomplete grades, which are not removed by the deadline, are permanently converted to “F”s automatically.
Section Changes
Students can request a change of section in a class within the first week of classes. Signatures of both instructors are required.
